The first public speaking rule is to be prepared. Whether you are giving a seminar, a workshop, or presenting in front of your team, a successful speech delivery comes with good preparation. When you take time to prepare, you reduce your nervousness, anxiety, and fear. Good preparation shows your audience that you care about the work you do and that you are well-qualified to talk about the subject matter.

Like with anything, a good preparation increases the chances of success.

When it comes to public speaking, speakers don't have a structured speech. They ramble upon several topics with no end. The golden rule to a well-organized speech consists of an introduction, body, and conclusion. Of course, transition words and pauses are a must to make your speech sound clearer and smoother.
